Rolling Stone magazine has called Jenna Jameson "the woman who put the 'star' in porn star." The adult leading trade journal, AVN (Adult Video News), named her the top female adult star of all time. Jenna burst onto the adult movie scene in the mid-1990s and won every major award available to a porn actress, the first ever to capture three of the top adult movie awards in the same year. "Once I made up my mind to go into movies," she says, "I wanted to be the most famous, most successful adult star ever." At that she has succeeded, not only through her jaw-dropping performances in adult movies, but also with her numerous appearances in mainstream entertainment sectors.

Born in Las Vegas, Jenna studied ballet as a child. She was a self-described nerd in high school and didn't even have a date to her high school prom. But by her late teens she had blossomed into a voluptuous and sultry stunner with an innocent look. Jenna began getting jobs as a model and topless dancer on the Vegas strip. Before long she was dancing at the world-famous Crazy Horse and then Pent-house and Hustler magazines discovered her and ran picto-rials. Since then, she has won virtually every honor the adult industry bestows.

Jenna is a go-getter, in life and in the bedroom. Not satisfied to just lie back in front of the camera, she was infa-mous in the adult industry for her arguments with directors. "I was always trying to make the movies better," she says. "I couldn't understand why anyone would settle for less. I wouldn't settle for less and didn't think the audience should have to either!" Her perseverance paid off with not only great movies and top sales, but also critical acclaim and of awards from video and trade associations, in-cluding a recent Lifetime Achievement Award from AVN.

One of the directors she used to clash with was Justin Sterling. "I thought she was a brat," he says of her, while she insists, " I thought he was arrogant." But after a few years, their antagonism turned to attraction. They are now partners in both life and business. Jenna now runs her own production company, and produces her own movies for Vivid Video, with the features directed by her husband, Justin. Along with a packed schedule of movies, television act-ing roles, personal appearances, and modeling, the dynamic Jenna is also CEO of Inc., a fast-growing net management, production, and licensing company. The first feature movie she herself helped produce, ana Loves Jenna, immediately soared to the top of the charts and was named by AVN as the top selling and renting video of 2002.

Dream of Jenna eclipsed the first release in porn primer both VHS and DVD sales and rentals. Her eagerly awaited remake of the movie The Masseuse is scheduled for release in 2004. Jenna's mainstream N and movie work includes fea-ture roles in Howard Stern's film hit Private Parts; the horror film Central's first feature film, Porn makes regular appearances on national television. Her stun-ning looks have fascinated magazine editors since the start of her career and she has graced over three hundred maga-zine covers and been featured on more than a thousand magazine articles or in pictorials in Glamour, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Allure, Jane, Rolling Stone, Revolver, Es-quire, Playboy, and Penthouse. She writes regular columns for the British, German, and American editions of FHM, a magazine that consistently ranks her as one of the hundred most beautiful and sexy women in the world.

Jenna's climb to the top of the adult movie world has paralleled her internal journey to understanding her own sex-ual power and freedom. "Women are more inhibited about sex than they have to be," she says. "Maybe it was because I was raised by my father, who was a cop, that I have this nonsense attitude about sex. Guys are straightforward about sex and women can be, too." One of Jenna's goals was to produce porn that was as well liked by women as by men. " I think women see my movies, and see my interviews, and think, 'Gee, she's not so different from me.' I hope they real-ize they can go out and grab what they want just the way I have."

For Jenna, sex is still a magical and wonderful thing. "The moment I usually remember most out of an erotic eve-ning is my orgasm, and how well my partner made me come. It's not very difficult to get me there-I'm very vocal with telling someone exactly what they need to do. If a man can keep me going, that's definitely what sticks in my mind."

And how many times does Jenna come in a typical erotic evening? "That all depends on the session and how tired I am. Sometimes I just want one orgasm and then I'm done, but in my perfect fantasy I think four or five times is wonderful. After that, every muscle is quivering and I am just spent." Jenna keeps "in shape" by masturbating when the urge strikes. a staple of my day. It's a great stress re-liever-at least once a day.
